Fairfax Bungalow (HGTV)

This was a project in Fairfax, CA about establishing harmony from architectural chaos. A 1940’s bungalow, 1970’s illegal second unit and a dilapidated greenhouse that spanned between them had become an outlaw rental dwelling in an otherwise calm family neighborhood. The buildings were gutted and merged into a single, artistic home while preserving the variety of the quirky, individual identities of each structure.

Home & Garden Television (HGTV) featured the project in their series ‘Beyond the Box‘ which focuses on “…creative individuals who thrive on the challenge of finding inexpensive materials and using them in innovative and unusual ways and proves that unique, affordable homes can be created with vision, great design sense, and innovation…” They called the project, “An unbelievable bungalow transformation in California”
